Rick Meyers with banjo

Rick Meyers has been performing and teaching pioneer music, dance, and folklore for children and adults since 1976. His presentations at libraries, schools, festivals, farmers markets, and parks and campgrounds are known for their educational value, humor, and high level of audience participation. His Pioneer Music Experience presented at museums and historical centers is also a popular event.

The instruments he plays include banjo, guitar, autoharp, musical saw, spoons, jewsharp, limberjack, washboard, ukulele, and washtub bass. In addition to performances and residencies, Rick also works as a therapeutic music specialist providing healing music for all ages at special care facilities and assisted living communities.

All programs can be adapted to match specific themes and special events.
